A 20-year-old man was killed by small-caliber gunfire and at least four bullet holes were found in his body in Marseille’s 3rd arrondissement. Due to cardiac arrest, when help arrived, he could not be resuscitated.

A new violent death for a young man in Marseille. At around 18:10, the town of Bel Horizon, in the Saint-Lazare district, near Saint-Charles station, a 20-year-old young man was targeted with firearms. There were at least four recorded impacts on his body, in different locations, on the chest, back, arms and buttocks.

Dispatched to emergency to provide first aid, firefighters found the victim in cardiac and respiratory arrest. Despite long efforts to revive him, the young man was declared dead. The shooter is now at large.

At the scene, police sources told France 3 Provence-Alpes that a small caliber box, type 9 mm, was found. The scientific police technical team is still at the location. An investigation is open to determine the cause of this new violent episode.
