deaths in Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon rise to 13 – Il Tempo

Beirut, November 18 (Adnkronos) – The number of victims of Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon is getting worse. According to the country’s Health Ministry, at least 13 people were killed in an attack on a Palestinian refugee camp in Ain al-Helweh, on the outskirts of Sidon, while Israel said it had struck a Hamas compound. The Health Ministry added that “ambulances are still transporting injured people to nearby hospitals.”

Lebanon’s National News Agency said the attack targeted a car near the Khalid bin al-Walid mosque and “it was later reported that the attack also hit” the mosque itself and a center of the same name.

The Israeli army said in a statement that it had “struck terrorists operating in a Hamas training compound in the Ain al-Helweh area in southern Lebanon”, adding that they were “operating against Hamas bases in Lebanon”.
