The group Delaporte, formed by the singer Sandra Delaporte and the producer and keyboardist Sergio Salvi, has denounced sexual violence against the singer on social networks. “Last Friday, at the concert in Madrid, while Sandra was dancing the mosh pit with the audience,” explains the publication, “a man grabbed her head and ate her mouth without her consent. It was an unacceptable act of sexual violence. Sandra was left shock”.

“On behalf of the entire DELAPORTE team we want to denounce the seriousness of these events and clarify our zero tolerance towards any type of sexual violence. In situations like this, all corresponding legal measures will be taken”, they warn.

The publication explains more details of what happened and highlights the singer’s initial reaction despite this shock: “But he went on until the end without understanding anything. There were many people who didn’t know who he was. He wanted to keep quiet and forget it because he didn’t want to tarnish the good things that had happened. Now, days later, we were able to talk about it together and we decided to communicate it.”

The band insists that “concerts for us are a safe and sacred space for all the people who come to have fun. We want to be able to dance with you without fear. We don’t want to stop having you around.” But they ask for security: “We need to lay the foundations of security, because apparently there are people who don’t know what consent, respect and sexual violence are.”

In the Instagram post they ask their followers to “in any situation of violence, discomfort or doubt, immediately notify the security team”.
