Disability and mobility: when taxis (finally) adapt to every need

1.3 million. This is the number of disabled people in Île-de-France. Among them, 23% need material assistance to move (cane, walker, wheelchair, etc.) and 20% need human assistance. Except that the supply of adapted transportation is largely insufficient in the region.

Of course, there is PAM (Paris Accompagnement Mobilité), the Ile-de-France transport service dedicated to people with severe motor disabilities. But since regionalization began in 2003, there have been many failures: canceled or rejected trips, travel errors… As for the metro for everything promised by Valérie Pécresse, president of the LR region of Île-de-France, it is clearly not for tomorrow.
