Winter is in full swing in Baden-Württemberg this week: on Tuesday, the skies were still mostly grey, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). Rain and hail continued across the country, and snow was forecast in the highlands of the Black Forest and Swabian Alb. Temperatures range from a maximum of 1 degree in the mountains to at least 7 degrees in Breisgau. The wind usually blows weakly from the west, but is strong in Feldberg.

Wednesday night will remain cloudy. Rain will fall in some areas, and snow will also occur in some mid-elevation areas. With lows between 3 degrees in the Rhine Valley and -1 degrees in Upper Swabia, the weather can get slippery. DWD warns of icy and slippery conditions.

The bad weather continued on Wednesday: lots of gray, occasional rain, and snow and slippery mountain conditions. Motorists there still have to be prepared for slippery roads. The maximum value ranges between 0 degrees in the mountains and 5 degrees in the Rhine Valley.
