emotional comfort comes from artificial intelligence – Time

Milan, November 14 (askanews) – Artificial intelligence is being used by the younger generation as a tool for emotional comfort and discussion of important choices. This was revealed in the Atlas of Childhood at Risk in Italy released by Save the Children, which conducted a survey on the relationship between teenagers and AI.

It turns out that 41.8% of boys and girls between the ages of 15 and 19 have used a chatbot to ask for help when they felt sad, alone, or anxious. More than 42% asked for advice about important choices to make, involving not only school and work, but also personal feelings and relationships. Artificial intelligence is used for very human and complex things.

In general, AI is a daily companion for teenagers: 92.5% use it, compared to 46.7% of adults. Nearly one in three teenagers uses it every day.
