Siemens Energy has finally put its years of crisis behind it. In the last financial year, the energy technology group earned 1.7 billion euros. This is not only the highest annual profit since Siemens announced its former energy division in 2020. It is also the first real profit that does not require a large positive special effect like the previous year. At that time, Siemens Energy reported a profit of 1.3 billion euros.
Incoming orders also increased significantly in the financial year, which ran from October to September, increasing by 19 percent to 59 billion euros. Sales grew slightly slower at 15 percent to 39 billion euros.
Next year the number is expected to increase significantly. Profits are expected to grow to 3 to 4 billion euros. The fact that wind power subsidiary Siemens Gamesa, which has caused a lot of problems for Energi in recent years, is due to move out of the red by 2026 should also contribute to this.
In the last financial year, Gamesa slowed development with high losses. Additionally, Siemens Energy wants to grow faster in the medium term and make more money than previously expected.
Positive developments can also be seen in the number of employees. The figure increased from about 99,000 to 103,000 worldwide and from 26,000 to 27,000 in Germany.
