Max Verstappen with Red Bull won the Las Vegas GP today, Sunday 23 November, and kept the 2025 World Championship open when there are 2 races left until the end of the season. The Dutchman, the reigning world champion, won in Nevada ahead of McLaren’s Lando Norris of Britain, the world championship leader, and Mercedes’ George Russell of England. Fourth position is occupied by the McLaren owned by Oscar Piastri from Australia, followed by the Mercedes owned by Kimi Antonelli.
Sixth place was for the Ferrari of Monegasque Charles Leclerc, followed by Williams’ Spaniard Carlos Sainz. French racer Isack Hadjar driving a RB was eighth, ahead of German driver Nico Hulkenberg’s Sauber. Britain’s Lewis Hamilton, in another Ferrari, finished tenth.

In the fight for the world title, Norris consolidated his lead by collecting 408 points. The lead over teammate Piastri reached 30 points: the Australian collected 378 points. Victory in Las Vegas kept Verstappen’s lead, which increased to 368. The Dutch racer must win the last 2 races of the year and hope that McLaren fails hoping to overtake at the last minute. The World Championship continues next Sunday with the Qatar GP, the final event of the championship.
