The dangers and risks of undergoing any type of cosmetic surgery should always be carried out by professionals. The story about. comes from Arezzo the woman ended up in a coma after hair transplant. Reports from the family of the 40-year-old woman who later recovered led to the opening of an investigation: two people were reported.

The Arezzo Flying Squad investigated and, coordinated by the prosecutor’s office, discovered abusive health care activities inside a medical office in the center of Arezzo where hair transplants were carried out without permission, without adequate hygienic-sanitary requirements and with staff without professional qualifications.

The investigation began after reports from the family of the forty-year-old man, who was found unconscious hours after undergoing surgery, advertised as a simple aesthetic treatment. The woman was immediately transported to the San Donato hospital in Arezzo where she underwent repeated resuscitation maneuvers and treated in intensive care was in a medically induced coma for two days.

Serious infections will be triggered by a inappropriate administration of local anesthesia. The woman, now out of harm’s way, told investigators she went to the studio in hopes of getting over her personal discomfort and “no longer having to wear wigs and extensions,” believing she was at a regular facility.

The investigation instead highlighted a structured illicit system: the person who performed the operation was a 40-year-old South American woman, a medical graduate in her country but who had title not recognized in Italy and not listed on the Order. The woman underwent surgery in a room dedicated to her, set up in a studio with surgical stations and equipment confiscated during the examination. The service is paid in cash for an amount of between 1,400 and 1,500 euros.

According to police, the doctor who owned the practice, who was nearing retirement, was fully aware of the collaborator’s lack of qualifications and would tolerate the activity, initially trying to take responsibility for the facts alone. The two suspects were reported for abusive practices of the medical profession and very serious acts of negligence towards their bodies. Both were informed of the conclusions of the initial investigation.
