Fico’s house clashes in Circeo. FdI: ‘Forgiven’. The answer: ‘False’ – News

After the gozzo was moored in the military area, the beach house was converted. The election campaign for regional elections in Campania is approaching its final stages and the atmosphere is rising. The new attacks from the Fratelli d’Italia against Roberto Fico, the broad-based candidate, came on the morning of Senator Sergio Rastrelli relaunching an article from the newspaper ‘La Verità’ accusing Fico of “having used amnesty to excuse his house in Circeo”.

The newspaper tells of a family home, of which Fico “was the owner with his sister Gabriella” that was put in order thanks to an amnesty that closed in 2017, a year before Fico became president of the Chamber. The story concerns a property in San Felice del Circeo, a building from the seventies.

“The amnesty – writes ‘La Verità’ – will concern work carried out illegally, in particular the change of use of the ground floor from a garage to a house” as part of a practice started in the 1980s by the previous owner. “The vague story about the boat is not enough – underlines Rastrelli -. But just yesterday Fico stated that we do not need an amnesty but a right to housing”.

A reply from the former Chamber President soon arrived via reply post. “The request for amnesty was not submitted by President Fico or his family, but rather by the previous owner of the house in San Felice Circeo in the 1980s.” “Therefore, it is wrong – said his press office – to claim that the president has asked for a pardon or amnesty”.

However, Fico did not stop there and in the afternoon he posted on social media a rally in Procida about mumps which became the subject of controversy. And from the cockpit of the ship he replied to Fdi: “We are a network and they will not stop us with the rubbish they want to convey to me and all of us”.

The conflict was mainly between the Italian brothers. For the organisation’s national manager, Giovanni Donzelli “if Fico’s criteria were to prevent citizens from doing what he did, he should explain to us why he feels he is more important than citizens or should have privileges compared to others”. Coming to Fico’s aid from the Five Star Movement were Chamber vice-president Sergio Costa (M5s), a “center-right who no longer knows what to create”, and his deputy Agostino Santillo, whose “right is in total confusion”.

Therefore, the issue of amnesty continues to be at the center of election campaigns in Campania. And center-right candidate Edmondo Cirielli also returned to the matter, speaking about the legality of the measure. “Here the abuse – he said – was carried out by Bassolino and the leftists, when they did not allow the people of Campania to access the amnesty”. Interior Minister Matteo also took action

Piantedosi, today in Naples: “I don’t understand why”, if the left “proposes an amnesty regarding irregularities in the residence status of immigrants”, there cannot be anything else. Or, asked the minister, “are amnesties and regularization only valid if they aim to achieve political goals?”. Words — Piantedosi’s words — that Democratic senator Sandra Zampa said “stunned.” Grillina Carmela Auriemma also took a jab: “The Meloni Administration’s Interior Secretary seemed a little confused. He traded property for people”.
