Dog dies in semi-detached house fire

A dog died in a fire in a semi-detached house. Police said the animal could no longer be rescued from the building in Jatznick (West Pomerania-Greifswald district). The three residents, aged 40, 51 and 75, were able to leave home on time on Wednesday. The 69-year-old couple from the other half of the house also survived in time. Investigators estimate the loss at around 150,000 euros.
Based on information, the 51 year old resident was taken to the clinic because he was suspected of inhaling smoke. Everyone remained unharmed. According to police, the fire broke out on the top floor for no known reason. The affected semi-detached homes are no longer habitable.
