On Wednesday 12 November, at around 08.30, several people blew up an airlock used to supply the automated teller machine at the Roubaix Grand Place postal agency.

Five people were charged and placed in pre-trial detention following a dynamite attack on a postal agent in Roubaix in mid-November, the Lille prosecutor’s office said in a press release consulted by ICI Nord (formerly France Bleu), Wednesday 26 November.

On Wednesday, November 12, at around 08.30, several people blew up an airlock used to supply the Roubaix Grand Place postal agency ATM, which is located near the town hall and media library. The robbers then fled in a black BMW. Six people were immediately arrested and detained on the day of the robbery. Five of them were indicted a few days later, on November 16.

Officers were at the post office at the time of the explosion, but no injuries were reported. In a press release, La Poste stated that there was no financial loss after this explosive attack, the bag taken by the robbers was empty. It was a recycling bag, the safe containing the money was still intact.
