Formula 1: Norris starts well… World championship rankings of drivers and constructors after the Brazilian GP

The Formula 1 drivers’ championship may have changed this Sunday at the Brazilian GP. Thanks to another landslide victory, Lando Norris is getting closer to the world title. The McLaren driver had a perfect weekend by winning the sprint race, then the Grand Prix.

He finished ahead of Kimi Antonelli who defended brilliantly in front of Max Verstappen. The Red Bull racer climbed the entire grid from the pits to finishing on the podium. Despite everything, he still lost 10 points to Norris and reached 49 points, almost two wins.

For Oscar Piastri, the race was made even more difficult by a dubious penalty that saw him drop to 15th place. With just three races remaining, he is 24 points behind his teammate, while a win is worth 25.

The manufacturer’s ranking has long been won by McLaren. Behind him, Mercedes is in control, 32 points behind Red Bull who occupies third place from Ferrari. The Scuderia paid for a failed weekend, marked by the retirements of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. Alpine remains last, behind Sauber, Haas and Aston Martin.
