Four people, three men and one woman, arrested Thursday evening after clashes that occurred during the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra’s concert at the Paris Philharmonie, were charged on Sunday November 9, the Paris prosecutor’s office told franceinfo. They were placed under court supervision, in accordance with prosecutors’ orders.

A judicial investigation was opened on Sunday into, among other things, “damage to another person’s property in a manner that is harmful to humans“, “endanger others“, “organization of demonstrations on public highways without declaration” and “violence with the use or threat of weapons“.

Furthermore, four people were arrested on Saturday evening following a brawl in Paris between pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel activists in front of a police station where the suspects were being questioned following an incident that occurred Thursday evening at the Philharmonie de Paris, franceinfo learned earlier from sources close to the investigation and the Paris prosecutor’s office.

Saturday, at around 17.30, a pro-Palestinian group gathered in front of the 19th arrondissement police station to support four suspects who were heard at the location, after a disturbance occurred during a concert by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra at the Philharmonie de Paris. A brawl broke out between pro-Palestinian groups and pro-Israel activists. Three police officers were lightly injured during the intervention, according to consistent sources. Pro-Palestinian activists were asked to leave the scene without incident.

Three members of the pro-Israel group were arrested for insults, according to sources close to the investigation. A pro-Palestinian activist known previously for making anti-Semitic statements was also arrested, the Paris prosecutor’s office explained. All four were placed in police custody, this source added. The scuffle did not prevent the three men and women involved in Thursday night’s incident at the Philharmonie de Paris from being transported “without incident” to a Paris court.

The Palestine Action France group claimed on Instagram that there were disturbances at the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra’s concert on Thursday night at the Philharmonie de Paris, as well as a meeting Saturday night in front of the 19th arrondissement police station. This week, in the program Le Grand Jury (RTL/M6/Le Figaro/Public Sénat), Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez confirmed that “The dissolution file is being examinedabout this organization.
