France-Ukraine: Khephren Thuram recalled with the Blues to offset Camavinga’s questions

Didier Deschamps decided to recall the 25th player. While Eduardo Camavinga is still training on the sidelines of the group this Wednesday, ahead of Ukraine’s reception at the Parc des Princes as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the French team coach does not want to take any risks and calls Khephren Thuram.

“Juventus Turin midfielder Khephren Thuram was called up as reinforcements by Didier Deschamps on Wednesday 12 November,” wrote the FFF calmly in its press release. This is primarily a precaution taken by the coach, who wants a complete group even though Camavinga may be absent.

Called up in September, he has yet to play

Khephren Thuram joins the group tonight. Therefore, he will feature this Thursday and will participate in the trip to Azerbaijan, where the Blues will play their final match in the qualifiers this Sunday.

The midfielder has participated in the French team’s last two matches during the October meeting. Starting against Azerbaijan, he took part in the Blues’ victory (3-0). He then played just 15 minutes on the trip to Iceland. Also called up in September, he did not participate in any matches, neither in Ukraine nor against Iceland.
