Rome, November 15 (Adnkronos) – “Alberto Trentini has been detained in Venezuela for a year. In recent months, his mother, Armanda Colusso, as he recalled today, has trusted the Italian Government and institutions, which have silenced him, according to them ‘so as not to damage her son’s position’. But so far this has led to nothing, despite assurances and many promises. His words today are a huge stone and represent a true indictment of Giorgia Meloni and her Government.” Avs’ Nicola Fratoianni wrote on social media.
“Because – he added – during nine months of detention, in fact the Italian authorities have not lifted a finger, considering that they have never had contact with the Venezuelan Government. At every opportunity they call themselves patriots, then when it comes to protecting one of our citizens they disappear. Steps to guarantee the rights and safety of Trentini, and do everything to bring him home, now is the time to act.”
