Fun at work: What would make your job fun again?

Monday morning, the alarm goes off and just thinking about work is tiring. Nevertheless, you push yourself, knowing full well that the tasks are piling up. Deadlines are approaching and holidays are getting further away. Everyday work feels like a hamster wheel – and you wonder if that will ever change. Many people feel this way: almost one in three employees in Germany are dissatisfied with their jobs, and 13 percent have mentally resigned.

But actually looking for a new job doesn’t have to be the only way out. Sometimes change can help you enjoy work again. This can be triggered from outside, by an interesting book or good advice. Or even from yourself by thinking of tricks that will help you do your daily work better.

Words can make you feel heard, seen, appreciated. Maybe the conversation gave you more clarity about what exactly is expected of you or where you can grow professionally? Or it shows you that you are not alone in your feelings. Maybe a new colleague brings long-awaited changes or a new routine helps you relieve stress? His energy returned, and with it his enjoyment of his work.

Tell us about a moment that changed your job for the better. About a small encounter that had a big impact or a surprising realization that brought you joy again. What was the moment that made you come to terms with your work? How exactly does this change affect your day-to-day work? How important was this moment for your career? And how often do you remember it?
