Rome, November 25 (Adnkronos) – “I believe that culture is a fundamental driver, perhaps the main one for our country, because it drives not only society but also the economy. Italy is culture, even if we look around” we realize that “many of our activities are related to culture”. This was expressed by Andrea Prete, president of Unioncamere, at the presentation of the 15th edition of the ‘I am culture’ report held in Rome.

This report was produced by the Symbola Foundation, Unioncamere, the Guglielmo Tagliacarne Chamber of Commerce Study Center and Deloitte in collaboration with the Institute for Sports and Cultural Credit, the Fitzcarraldo Foundation, Fornasetti and with the support of the Ministry of Culture.

“I think, for example, of the commitment of the Chamber of Commerce system that I represent: there are several Chambers of Commerce that annually invest tens of millions of euros in cultural activities which then, in turn, feed the economic structure – he added. – The report, in addition to investments in businesses directly related to culture”, also includes a broad view “of all related industries. For example: how many catering businesses live thanks to the spectacular monuments we have in Italy? It seems unrelated, but it is there. This makes us understand how much influence culture has on our lives.”
