Quirinale board member Francesco Saverio Garofani said this in an interview with Corriere della Sera, after yesterday’s political controversy that arose from an article in ‘Truth’, also explaining that President Mattarella was “very merciful, he told me “don’t worry, don’t be angry””. .
Garofani underlined that “I have shown with facts absolute respect for the institution, in all the roles I have held” and based on the sentences attributed to him by the press he clarified: “It was a free chat between friends”, confident that “I never made out of place statements, never showed protagonistism”.
