Gendarmerie Var is trying to understand what happened to Nadège Klopcic, a citizen of the department who has been missing since the evening of Sunday, November 9. That night, his car broke down in Pignans, a small town located between Toulon and Draguignan. Since then, there has been no trace of him. His cellphone was silent, his bank card was unused, according to information from Ici Provence.
According to the first elements gathered by the Draguignan prosecutor’s office, Nadège Klopcic spent Sunday with his partner, his son and friends, in the Pignans sector. At the end of the afternoon, when he returned to driving his vehicle, the driver hit the median so that the car could not be used. A mechanic was then called to the location. While the young woman took care of the formalities, her colleague chose to return home by train with her son.
Not long after, Nadège Klopcic contacted a friend to ask him to come pick her up near the station. But he quickly changed his mind, indicating that he would go home by train. This would be the last known trace of Varoise. Since then, there have been no more signs of life.
Alerted at night, the gendarmerie immediately launched a massive search. Fifteen troops were deployed, supported by helicopters and dog teams. A Saint-Hubert dog that specializes in searching for missing people was put to work again Monday afternoon, without success.
