ChatGPT was the first widely used AI chatbot and is still considered to be at the top. Can Google dethrone its pioneers with a new version of its Gemini AI model?

In the race to develop artificial intelligence, Google is pressing ahead with new software used, among other things, in its internal search engine. For example, Gemini 3’s new AI model can create interactive graphs to illustrate answers to scientific or mathematical questions. As announced by the Internet company, it will initially be available in search engine AI mode.

The new Gemini 3 model, among other things, is said to be better at processing information from different types of media such as video and text simultaneously and putting it into context. Google demonstrated this with an example where AI software watched a Pickball game through cameras and was able to analyze player behavior and provide suggestions for better results.

For example, Gemini 3 can also translate recipes based on photos and create cookbooks from them. Google has also demonstrated that the software is capable of planning multi-day itineraries to cities such as Rome. This is a common example that competitors also use.

The Gemini 3 is also said to be better at software programming – a common area of AI application. For this purpose, the group introduced a new tool called Antigravity. This allows software developers to use and monitor multiple, mostly independently acting AI programs – called agents – to write software.

According to the latest information from Google, the Gemini application has around 650 million users per month. According to OpenAI boss Sam Altman, ChatGPT has more than 800 million users per week. However, Google is integrated into many people’s daily routines with its search engine and other services such as GMail. When it comes to search, Gemini 3 should be better than ever at understanding the intent behind user requests and finding relevant information online.
