The number is stubborn and believes the self-congratulatory propaganda of President Meloni: to say that this is a ‘maneuver without cuts’ is first to make fun of the mayors. This government cuts local and regional autonomy with one hand and with the other abdicates its own responsibilities”. This is how the Secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein, closed the meeting of Dem officials in Bologna. “Not including a single euro in transport policy means mayors will be forced to reduce the number of trips and take responsibility instead of Salvini, or increase tickets and take responsibility instead of Salvini. Now, he added, they are studying a crackdown on evictions, and the idea is that without building alternatives, it is mayors who will have to pay for hotels or find solutions, while they have not given a single euro for housing.
