Green crowdfunding: Enerfip buys Lumo and accelerates consolidation of the sector

Eleven years after its founding, Enerfip has reached a new milestone: the Montpellier crowdfunding platform (or fundraising) the energy transition project (renewable energy, energy efficiency or sustainable mobility) announced this Thursday the consolidation of its position by carrying out its first external growth operation by acquiring one of its competitors, Lumo, from the Société Générale Group (number of operations not communicated).

Lumo, founded in 2012, is the first crowdfunding platform for renewable energy in France. Made in La Rochelle, now based in Bordeaux.

Milestone of 100,000 investors

The concentration phenomenon he mentioned was actually realized in November 2024 with the purchase of Lendopolis by Lendsphère from Banque Postale. A dynamic that marks a strategic refocusing of the activities of both banks on their traditional banking services by releasing related activities such as participatory financing of the energy transition.
