When the harsh verdict was announced, Ryan, 28, did not move, his face calm, as it had been throughout the three-hour trial. This Wednesday in the criminal court of Versailles (Yvelines), the physiotherapist was sentenced to five years in prison for assaulting three patients, on June 23 and July 5, at a practice in Port-Marly (Yvelines).
“He is a sexual predator,” prosecutors explained in their submission, which was followed by a letter from the court. Ryan was charged with three counts of sexual assault committed by someone who abused the authority given to him by his position over three patients over the age of 40. In addition to this sentence, he was banned for three years from traveling to Yvelines, practicing professions related to medicine, and working with children.
