“Hobby Dogging”: Why teachers feel misunderstood

After her dog-free sport became famous, Barbara Gerlinger says she could barely save herself from the enormous media interest. “There have been thousands of requests of course – it’s crazy,” he said. But customer interest in their “dogging hobby” at Bad Friedrichshall in the Heilbronn district has so far been very limited.

The 65-year-old man reported that only ten people had contacted us by phone or WhatsApp in the last few weeks. “It’s not much,” Gerlinger admitted. Many people misunderstand this idea. It is always portrayed as if the so-called “hobby of dogging” is just about walking on a leash and leash, he complained. But that’s a secondary thing. “A lot of people don’t understand at all that it’s not just about walking the dog, it’s about the mental aspect.”

Their goal is to train the dog owner’s concentration and body posture – one might say, a real effort for a real dog handler. Because the problem is not with the dog, but always with the human.
