OWN On the occasion of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Paris, the Élysée announced on Monday 17 November the signing of a letter of intent related to the purchase of 100 Rafale fighter aircraft, 8 new generation Mamba anti-aircraft systems and 600 AASM guided bombs. Far from being just a contract, this letter of intent is a “mutual political commitment”, assured the Élysée.

“The statement of intent is projected on a voluntary basis over a period of around ten years, with acquisition projects carried out in stages over time,” the French presidency further explained.
