In front of a strangely empty courtroom, the Colmar court was seized, Tuesday, November 25, on cases of violence against minors in two Alsatian-enforced educational centers. Mehdi K., Bassem T. and Taner I. denied the facts alleged against them. The president, Morgane Robitaillie, reminded them of the elements reported by educators and other young people: sweeps, blows to the stomach and head, strangulation, scoring sessions, letting off steam on the tatami…

One of them, the red giant, who played for several years in the French judo championship, bowed his head and twisted his fingers when the president mentioned messages exchanged in a WhatsApp group between educators, in which he boasted of his actions:

“It’s to relax and laugh. These young people don’t have easy stories, this is difficult for us: it gives us a breather.”
