In Paris, at Qui plume la Lune, star dishes without breaking the bank

LThe formula is tempting: 45 euros for a set of appetizers, an appetizer, a main course, then some sweet treats. This is the promise of the restaurant Qui plume la Lune, at 11e district of Paris, and its base price was recently shown at lunch. With this new menu called “Theodore”chef Jacky Ribault’s establishment, awarded one star by the Michelin guide, offers one of the most accessible haute cuisine experiences in the capital.

According to an article published on the famous Guide Rouge website, in Paris 96 restaurants are classified a staronly three feature lunch menus in the same price range: Auguste (7e), Ze Kitchen Gallery (6e) and Anona (17e), between 47 and 49 euros.

Nationally, prices are falling further: 39 euros at La Belle de Mars (Marseille), 38 euros at Dyades (Massignac), 37 euros at Omija (Nantes), or 29.90 euros at Mascaret, in Blainville-sur-Mer – a record for a full lunch. These figures become more meaningful when we compare them with the average ticket for a meal in Paris, around 30 euros, and with the price of a ticket for a Michelin-starred restaurant, which is close to 100 euros.
