From South to North, with the aim of creating an integrated ecosystem to support the birth and growth of innovative start-ups in the Mediterranean, through a network of territorial hubs that so far has 12 offices in Italy plus an office in Brussels. Inhuse (acronym for Innovation hub South Europe), a structure founded in June 2020, in Caserta, by entrepreneur Anna Galdieri, was born as an innovative start-up and later became a reference for new businesses in Southern Italy and a certified incubator (by Mimit). Subsequently, the structure expanded to Southern and Northern Italy, with offices in Pavia and Genoa. The latter, after a trial period, launched its service yesterday in a public meeting.
The aim of the incubator (which has its registered office in Campania and was ranked at the top of Italy’s five certified hubs in 2025, according to Financial Time) is to launch new businesses on the market quickly, providing logistical support, consultancy, networking and access to financial resources. In Genoa, Inhuse has selected Workspace Italia, a Genoese provider specializing in the management of coworking and office living services, as the territorial center for Genoa and Liguria. And in 2025 Workspace launched a joint venture with Space4business, a hub dedicated to corporate meetings and events.
«The goal of the Genoa branch of Inhuse – says its director, Stefano Repetto, former managing director and director of Workspace – is to reach the number of 20 incubated start-ups by June 2026, with a total raised of 2 million euros to support the business. But to date, we have started collaborating with several companies in the region, which have attracted the interest of foreign investors: for example Firmodoc, an innovative startup that archives documents with Ai, stores them in accordance with the law and manages the automatic signature process; The company has increased its investment phase pre seed amounting to 200 thousand euros, started the process of subsidized financing of 600 thousand euros, and now aims to complete seed capital with a round of 300 thousand euros to enter the market.”
The intention, in Genoa, adds Repetto, “is to establish an Inhuse-owned company, with Workspace and other local entities. Furthermore, the Genoa headquarters will soon host one of the finalist foreign start-ups at the 2025 edition of the International pitch night which takes place in Lisbon until next November 13. A global event dedicated to the technology and innovation sector, where Italy is present with a pavilion that under the coordination of ICE will host 35 Italian start-ups, an expression of technological innovation made in Italy”.
Inhuse, explains Pasquale Brancaccio, general director of the innovation center, “is also expanding the reach of its actions abroad: it established offices in Egypt, in Cairo, where an incubator is already operating to help startups in Arabia and Africa. And it is planned to land in the Middle East: offices in Riyadh and Dubai will be opened between December 2025 and January 2026. This structure will operate not as a foreign branch but as an autonomous entity, 51% owned by Inhuse”.
