Interior Committee Meeting: SPD demands clarification on terror charges against Dortmund citizens

The case involving a Dortmund man and darknet death lists and crypto donations as gifts will be discussed in the state parliament’s Home Affairs Committee on Thursday. That SPD has submitted so-called urgent questions to the state government, which are supposed to be answered by Interior Minister Herbert Reul (CDU) at the committee.

Based on the application, the SPD wants to know what concrete information the state government or security authorities of North Rhine-Westphalia have about the suspect and the charges against him. Based on information, Tuesday, the public prosecutor charged the man with, among other things, financing terrorism and giving instructions to carry out serious acts of violence that endangered the state.

He is said to have a list of names of potential victims on his own platform on the Darknet – including former Chancellors Olaf Scholz (SPD) and Angela Merkel (CDU) – as well as a self-written death sentence and instructions for making an explosive device. The German-Polish national, said to be from the right-wing extremist circles of the Reichsbürger, is now under arrest.
