Martina Colombari moved Dancing with the Stars by dedicating her dance of the week to her son Achille Costacurta. The former Miss Italy hosted the stage, paired with new father Luca Favilla, a performance with the song ‘A modo tuo’, a song that tells the story of parent-child relationships.
In a pre-show clip, Colombari retraces unfiltered the hardships he and his son experienced, including TSO, drugs and an ADHD diagnosis. Achille has spoken about his difficult teenage years on One More Time, Luca Casadei’s podcast. “I was assessed for all my son’s problems. He had always been a complicated child, then with the ADHD diagnosis we understood where all the behavior was coming from,” Colombari said.
With her voice cracking with emotion, the participant added: “It’s like not having a child, she’s a lifeless body with absolutely no love. You can’t move her with anything.” “When I called TSO, I did it to save him – added the actress – I had no other solution. I couldn’t save him. It was very difficult”.
A performance that received a standing ovation from the audience and praise from the judges: “It was the most beautiful clip I have ever seen in the history of Dancing with the Stars,” said Fabio Canino.
