(Vista Agency) Brazil, 11 November 2025 Climate change is not a threat to the future. This has become a modern tragedy. Hurricane Melissa hit the Caribbean region hard and a tornado that reached Paran state, in southern Brazil, left casualties and a trail of destruction. Droughts, fires in Africa and Europe, floods in South America and Southeast Asia, rising global temperatures are sowing suffering and destruction, especially among the most vulnerable societies. COP30 will be the real COP. With fake news and disinformation, deniers reject not only scientific evidence, but also the progress of multilateralism. They control algorithms, sell hate and spread fear. They attack institutions. They attacked science and universities. Now is the time to deliver a new defeat to the deniers.
