Judge Dana calls a new high-ranking official from Mazón as a witness | News from the Valencian Community

New movement to strengthen the judicial siege on the interim president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón. The judge of Catarroja (Valencia), who investigates the damage, Nuria Ruiz Tobarra, approved this Monday the testimony of the director of the secretariat of the Valencian executive cabinet, Pilar Montes Torregrosa.

On the afternoon of the biggest catastrophe of the century in Valencia – the Dana which killed 229 people on October 29, 2024 – the popular baron spoke to this high official at 7.42pm. The communication was recorded after 37 enigmatic minutes (6.57pm-7.34pm) in which Mazón neither called nor received any calls and disappeared. The head of the Consell arrived at the Palau de la Generalitat at almost 8pm.

The summoning of Montes Torregrosa as a witness – a condition that obliges him to tell the truth – comes after the investigator decided two weeks ago to have six senior officials from the hard core of the Valencian executive and the owner of the El Ventorro restaurant appear with the same qualification, where the president ate for almost four hours (3pm-6.45pm) with the journalist Maribel Vilaplana as the catastrophe that flooded the province of Valencia worsened enraged. Among the leaders close to Mazón who will appear on the pitch is his replacement, Juanfran Pérez Llorca.
