Keanu Reeves (Beirut, Lebanon, 61 years old), the actor known for titles such as Matrix AND The devil’s advocatenow owns the six watches of great economic value (in total, it is estimated that they cost 125,000 dollars; approximately 108,000 euros) that were stolen from his home in Los Angeles in 2023. According to the publication Los Angeles Times, During the investigation, police sources confirmed that the Chilean police had recovered a cell phone with a photo taken in the United States showing the submarine John Wick – the film saga starring Keanu Reeves -, a gun and the actor’s license, and probably taken during the robbery.
The FBI believes the robberies were perpetrated by what are known as South American Theft Groups (SATG) “which have proliferated in Southern California communities in recent years,” and which includes criminal organizations from South American countries that travel to the United States and other countries to commit robberies. The Californian newspaper also highlights that these gangs could operate with the help of an illegal vehicle rental company that would provide them with luxury cars with which to infiltrate exclusive areas without being detected, as well as identify areas to attack.
Among the watches stolen from the interpreter was a personalized Rolex Submariner, worth at least 9,500 dollars (around 8,200 euros), on which the actor’s name and the words “2021, JW4, thank you, thank you” are engraved. It wasn’t the first time the actor had suffered a home robbery. In 2014, his home was broken into twice in three days, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
