The allegations of sexual assault that have followed actor Kevin Spacey (New Jersey, 66 years old) since 2017, and for which he has never been convicted, continue to be felt. If last year the protagonist of American beauty He burst into tears while describing in an interview his financial difficulties, resulting from a million-dollar debt incurred after years of trials and defenses against more than 30 men who accused him of inappropriate behavior. Now Spacey has revealed that his situation is extreme, homeless and still written off by the Hollywood industry. This is what he declared to the English newspaper The telegraph.
“I can’t pay the bills I owe,” the actor said through tears in the June 2024 program Piers Morgan uncensored. Questioned by the well-known British journalist who gives his name to show where he lived at that time, the protagonist of House of cards he replied, “Well, it’s funny you ask that question because this week the place I live in Baltimore is being foreclosed on.” The city of Baltimore, Maryland (USA), was considered by Spacey to be his home from 2012 – when he began filming the hit presidential drama, until he was fired in 2017 due to sex crime allegations -, and the property he was referring to had been his residence since 2016. “My house was sold at auction. So I have to go back to Baltimore and put all my things away. So the answer to that question is that I’m not very sure where I will live now,” I keep telling Morgan.
Since then the situation for the interpreter has not improved. In July 2023, a London court found him not guilty of nine sex crimes against four men.
