About 30 people demonstrated in Landau against plans to deport a 29-year-old man and blocked the police station there. The man from Azerbaijan had previously been taken to a police station by the city’s immigration office, the party said POLICE with. A health check must be carried out there before deportation.
Protesters gathered in front of the police station in the afternoon and demanded the release of the 29-year-old man. They blocked the two entrances and exits there with barges from the construction site. With additional troops deployed, police removed barriers and moved demonstrators to the other side. After more than an hour, the meeting broke up.
There was no physical confrontation between police and protesters. However, the process was initiated due to coercion and resistance to law enforcement officers.
