The condemnation of the State Attorney General continues to dominate political news and will also be a source of conflict this Wednesday in the control session of Congress, where the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will face the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo. Likewise, the public prosecutor proposed to replace the attorney general, Teresa Peramato, is also a source of conflict between the Government, which considers her an “absolutely suitable” person for the position, and the PP, which, on the contrary, considers her “continuist” and the “absolute trust” of Álvaro García Ortiz.
The plenary session of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) will decide this Wednesday on the proposed appointment of Peramato. According to what was reported by the CGPJ, the governing body of judges will thus respect the hearing procedure established by the Spanish Constitution and the Organic Law on the Judiciary.
Furthermore, the regional secretary of the Cabinet of the President and Communication of the Valencian Generalitat, José Manuel Cuenca, appears as a witness before Judge Catarroja who is investigating the case for the management of the dana.
