Junts confirms he will support customer service law: ‘No one makes a mistake. It won’t pass because nothing has changed’
Junts will vote this Thursday in favor of the law regulating customer support services, which requires that the service be provided in the co-official languages of the communities in which they exist, as confirmed by Josep Maria Cruset in his speech in the debate of the plenary session of Congress preceding the vote.
“But let no one be wrong. This law will not be approved because nothing has changed since the day we presented the full amendments, on the contrary. The past few days have definitively proved us right”, he said from the gallery. “We will vote in favor, because it is one of the few laws in which the agreement we made together has been respected. Therefore, once our proposals are incorporated, taking into account that they are positive and necessary for the Catalans, we will implement our part of the agreement. After that, you will only have four laws left. Enjoy what you have achieved with your irresponsibility,” he added.
For Cruset, this law “was an example of the arithmetic precariousness of the government bloc, a bloc that prohibited clear amendments due to its lack of negotiating capacity and, above all, for not understanding that the government does not have the absolute majority it believes it has.”
“Without an absolute majority we need to negotiate. Agreements must emerge from the negotiations and the agreements must be respected. This is the essence of democracy and if it is not respected everyone already knows what will happen, you can maintain power, but you cannot govern”, he insisted.
