What if lawmakers were replaced by two computers to make laws? The situation is still in the science fiction stage, but the National Assembly and Senate are increasingly questioning the consequences of artificial intelligence (AI) in their practices. The Assembly’s transpartisan working group is to meet on the morning of Wednesday, November 26, to discuss the issue. Especially since the use of AI has been widely democratized among elected representatives of both Chambers in recent years. This question arose especially in the midst of budget discussions, reflecting the magnitude of the amendments, but also the weakness of the tools available to parliamentarians.
