Jean-Pierre Farandou has withdrawn from several files. The Minister of Labor and Solidarity will not deal, in particular, with matters relating to the SNCF, a group he led before being appointed to the government, according to the decision published Tuesday, November 11 in the Official Journal.

Related questions “to the Société nationale des chemins de fer français (SNCF) group companies, to the La Poste group companies, to the Fer de France association, to the Uside company”was not part of his responsibility, and entrusted to the Prime Minister, the details of his decision.

Jean-Pierre Farandou, who has served as SNCF chairman since November 2019, was appointed Minister of Labor and Solidarity on 12 October, replacing Catherine Vautrin. In June he was appointed administrator of La Poste, another state-owned company. He was president of the Fer de France association between February 2023 and October 2025.
