A powerful explosion occurred on Friday, November 14, in an industrial area in the city of Ezeiza, south of Buenos Aires (Argentina), leaving at least 22 people injured, according to authorities. “The explosions and fires that occurred in various installations were very terrible”explained Mayor Gaston Granados on channel C5N. Television images showed smoke billowing from the scene and partial explosions.
“The windows of my house and the surrounding area exploded”said the mayor, who lives about 500 meters from the Spegazzini industrial area, where the explosion occurred. “We are in the process of evacuating families living in the surrounding area.” The cause of the explosion is currently unknown, according to Gaston Granados. “We are trying to control it (fire) and turn it off, but we can’t do that yet.”he continued.
According to local media, at least five facilities were affected. This industrial area is located near Ezeiza international airport. Is there “Different companies with different products.
