There is a hypothesis from murder-suicide behind the discovery of the bodies of a mother and child in Salento. The lifeless body of woman Najoua Minniti, 35, was recovered from the sea at Torre dell’Orso, a famous seaside resort in Puglia, on the afternoon of Tuesday 18 November. Little Elia Perrone, 8 years old, was found at night in the house where the two lived, on via Montinari in Calimera, in the Lecce area. In the next few hours the Lecce Prosecutor’s Office will assign the task of carrying out an autopsy.
Discovery of corpse
Based on the findings of the first investigation, it was the child’s father who gave the warning. When she went to pick up her son from school at the end of class, she couldn’t find him. He then tried to contact his ex-wife, but she did not answer his calls. Worried, the man went to the police to report the child missing. Meanwhile, at around 15.30, off the waters of Torre dell’Orso, a diver made the discovery corpse from a woman, later identified as Najoua Minniti. In the evening, a second tragic discovery occurred: the small body of little Elijah lying on the floor in the bedroom of the house where he lived with his mother in Calimera.
Murder-suicide hypothesis

The lifeless body of the child, who was only 8 years old and in fourth grade at elementary school, was found to have wounds caused by a sharp weapon, possibly a knife.
