Prosecutors look at the underlying motive

Public prosecutor Martin Mende has charged the 18-year-old with, among other things, murder by means of a danger to the public for trivial reasons: “What mattered to him was to go at high speed, although he did not care about the impact of his behavior on other road users. He emphasized getting around quickly and having fun while driving.”

Lawyer David Decka, who defended the accused: “We are exercising the right to remain silent.”

Survive cancer

Sven B., who appeared as a plaintiff along with lawyer Wolfgang Dressler, told BILD: “My mother still dreams. She herself survived cancer after my father’s death and learned to love the sea while on holiday in Egypt at the age of 65. That’s why she wanted to learn to swim. When she was killed, she had just come home from swimming lessons.”

Judgment in process scheduled for release on December 19. “I hope for at least five years in prison. According to my sense of justice, he should not get away with a suspended sentence,” said Sven B.
