Growing old at home is a desire that many people have, but it comes at a high cost. According to the 6th Retraite.com/Silver Alliance barometer, it takes an average of 1,291 euros per month from the age of 65 to live as well and as long as possible at home. A figure that is still lower than the average price of one month in a nursing home per person in 2023 (2,310 euros), but an increase of 2.4% compared to 2024 and almost 25% since 2020. This is due to the various crises experienced by the world (Covid, war in Ukraine, raw materials and energy crisis).
