Naples, the Army celebrates the history of the city and the oath of the students of the 238th Nunzitella course

From 14 to 16 NovemberSoldier organized a series of events and initiatives to celebrate 2500 years of history of the city of Naples and its 238th anniversary “Nunziatella” military school.

The inauguration will take place on Friday November 14 at 10 am “Army Village”“Diaz” roundabout, Caracciolo seafrontmore than 17,000 m2 of space dedicated for citizens to learn more about the Army’s weapons, specialties and capabilities. The village will be open to the public from November 14 to 16 from 09:00 to 17:00. It will be inaugurated by the Army’s National Regional Commander, Army Corps General Gianpaolo Mirra.

At the military village, visitors can get closer to the world of the Army by trying rock climbing, with the “Rolfo” helicopter flight simulator and military fitness. The event will also be accompanied by music and interviews by Army Radio.

Vehicles used in the Army’s operational missions will be on display live, such as the A129 “Mangusta” helicopter, VTLM “Lince”, VTMM “Orso” and new generation systems including: drones, CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) and robot dogs.

Some of the Army’s top specialists will also be present such as the Institute of Military Geography, Meteomont and the canine unit.

There is an Info Point within the village, where you can request all information about the professional opportunities offered by the Army and how to participate in related competitions.

Saturday November 15th, again at 10 am, the solemn inauguration ceremony students of the “Nunziatella” Military School in Piazza del Plebiscito.

At the end of the ceremony it will be inaugurated “Army Store” entered via the Cesario Console.
