Beside them, other activists stretched 20 meters of dark red cloth. sandy, 33; Celine, 48 years old; Larisa, 39 years old; Simone, 90 years old… The names of each of the 1,170 femicide victims since 2017 were hand-painted, along with their ages as a reminder that this threat weighs on women throughout their lives, in all social settings. Behind a forest of cypress trees, consciously extinguished, a hundred activists gathered at the Place du Panthéon in Paris, Tuesday evening, November 25, at the call of the feminist collective #NousToutes, to give back to them “woman” on the occasion of the International Day against Violence Against Women.
