November 13: full program of the tribute ceremony this Thursday in Paris

Ten years after the attacks that left Paris in mourning, the capital will pay tribute to the victims this Thursday, November 13, in a ceremony marked by meditation and tranquility. Find a detailed program for this anniversary.

It will start at 11 am on the Place de la République (4th, 10th and 11th arrondissements), where Parisians are invited to gather, as has been the case for several days. A place is also provided from November 8 to 16 to leave candles, flowers or messages.

Respect in front of the affected site

Official ceremonies will then be held in the afternoon, at all affected locations on the night of 13-14 November 2015. These tributes will be held in front of the memorial plaque unveiled in 2016, in the presence of Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, President Emmanuel Macron, officials and victims’ associations.

At 11:30, the first tribute will be held at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis), where three people lost their lives in an explosion near the sports venue.

The delegation will then head to the 10th arrondissement, at 12:30, at the intersection of rue Bichat and rue Alibert, in front of the terraces of “Petit Cambodge” and “Carillon”, the two bar-restaurants that were the targets of the shooting. Half an hour later, honors will be paid in front of “La Bonne Bière”, at the intersection of rue du Faubourg du Temple and boulevard Jules-Ferry (11th arrondissement).

The delegation will then stop at 1:30 p.m. at the “Comptoir Voltaire”, then in front of “La Belle Équipe”, at the intersection of rue de Charonne and rue Faidherbe, were also affected by the attack. At 14.30, tributes will be paid in front of the Bataclan, the Voltaire boulevard, where 90 people were killed on the night of November 13, 2015.

Today’s highlight will be held at 6 p.m. with a 10th anniversary ceremony in the new memorial garden 13 November 2015, Place Saint-Gervais (IVe). Please note, this ceremony will not be open to the public. However, it will be broadcast live on TF 1 and France 2 and broadcast on the giant screen at the Place de la République from 6pm. until 8 p.m.

Priority to the victim’s family

If the ceremony in front of the memorial plaque in the early afternoon is mainly intended for the relatives and families of the victims, then the public can come and pay their respects near the scene of the incident. Only 6pm. the memorial garden ceremony will be closed to the public, but accessible via the Place de la République broadcast.
