Following the signing of new sporting director Martin Pieckenhagen, Kickers immediately put an exclamation point on: in a 1-0 win against Bahlingen, OFC kept a clean sheet for the first time in months – and put in perhaps their most stable defensive performance of the season.
A big part of this is played by a defensive star who has had an incredible recent run that many can emulate. He embodies fighting spirit, stability and a willingness to lead – virtues that Pieckenhagen and coach Kristjan Glibo expect from the entire team in the future.
