NDR changed its programming on Friday evening. The reason is a special broadcast.
On Friday (14/11/2025), the talk show “3nach9” celebrated its 51st anniversary on German television. To mark the occasion, NDR is airing a special half-hour program at 10 p.m. which traces the program’s history from its premiere in November 1974 to the present.
As an exception, the regular edition of the cult talk show doesn’t start until 10:30 p.m. tonight. Giovanni di Lorenzo and Judith Rakers, among others, welcomed singer, presenter and entertainer Ina Müller who will release her new album today.
“3nach9” veterans celebrate comeback anniversary
In the anniversary program, first host Marianne Koch, presenters Amelie Fried and Giovanni di Lorenzo and colleague Judith Rakers spoke about highlights and memories from the talk show’s long history.
Besides “3nach9”, other talk formats such as the NDR talk show, “Kölner Treff” or “Riverboat” are also well-known names in the German TV landscape and have been exchanging ideas on current topics with prominent guests for decades. Friday’s special broadcast looks back at the development of what has been called “the mother of all talk shows” and acknowledges its longstanding importance to German television.
