When we talk about the political challenges in Italy, it is clear that the first two faces that come to mind are these faces Giorgia Melonithe current president of the Italian council and leader of the Fratelli d’Itali, and Elly Schlein, the most famous face of the democratic left and secretary of the Democratic Party for several years now. The race for leadership, for now, is clear as Giorgia Meloni continues to win poll after poll. The latest survey conducted by the Noto institute for ‘Porta a Porta’ regarding the voting intentions of Italians in the elections is no exception.
Italian Brothers most assert themselves as the first party. The formation led by Giorgia Meloni is at 30.5% as on November 5. Democratic Party of Elly SchleinHowever, it lost 1% and fell to 22%. The gap between the two parties appears unbridgeable: there are now more than nine percentage points separating the Fratelli d’Italia from the main opposition party. A clear separation, a symptom of the substantial and most important political differences between the two parties. 5 Star Movement remains at 11.5%. Forza Italia was also steady at 9.5%, while Liga lost 0.5% and remained at 7.5%. The Green and Left Alliance is at 6%, as in the last survey. Azione gained half a point (+0.5%) and was on 4.5%, as was reformist Italia Viva-Casa on 3% (+0.5%). Finally stable US moderate at 1.5%, + Europe and UDC, both at 1%.
Overall, the centre-right, including the UDC, fell to 50% (-0.5%), as did the broad camp to 43.5% (-0.5%). Estimated turnout remains at 56%.
